Spoilers follow – Explosion seen on location of Alien: Covenant! As filming continues on location in Milford Sound, New Zealand, it would appear effects work is beginning to take place! Several weeks ago we shared the first ever pictures from Alien: Covenant. They were of the construction of some sort of spaceship, possibly the airlock of a vessel of some sort. It would seem that particular construction maybe no more!

The video comes from a crewmember of one of the tourist sight-seeing cruise ships that operate at Milford Sound. This video comes not long after another tourist spoke of an explosion on location: “Stumbled onto the set for the new ‘Aliens Covenant’ movie here in Milford – they blew up something late last night too.”
