Q: Ridley, you've been making films for a long time... How it's satisfying for you as a creator to see audience so excited about your latest work?

Ridley: It's always good. I was always figuring out I'm an athlete in how can I bounce the ball, and I've got to keep bouncing the ball otherwise I'm no longer an athlete… So, yes, it's very important that the audience respond to the fact that I'm gonna do a new science-fiction...

Q: Can you talk us a little bit about working with Damon on the project?

Ridley: Yeah, it's a very good process because Damon is very concise, very precise and I like to be as well... But then that's it: you need to have the generator accurse between two individuals at the table, because most of it is across the table... And you if fire up then that's really what suppose to happen, and we found it, we fire up, and that's a simple way of putting it, but is that, isn't it? There's a definitely fire in it... And it becomes cause and affects, so you build... And then you're not afraid to say: "What if..." Or doing (my favourite sort of thing)... doing really really badly: "What if bla-bla-bla..." Even if he thinks is a piece of... Yeah, it was very good relationships...

Q: Damon, the same question is for you: how was it like working with Ridley?

Damon: You know, it was incredible to sit across the table from him and listen him talking about the movie he wanna to make... I always knew Ridley was a brilliant filmmaker, but he's actually also an incredible storyteller and incredible artist... Sometimes we've been talking about set piece in the movie and he would just say: "Hold on a second!" and he grab a pencil and just start drawing and then shuffles something across the table to me: "That's what I'm talking about..." and it was just half-visual, and I have always these little drawing that Ridley did that I'm gonna sell one day or just give them to my child so he can get a collage...

Just in terms of the way that you think, you communicate, I guess, I had in my head that I get an access to Ridley for a couple of meetings (then I will be off on my own), and Ridley worked with me the same way that I've seen him working with the technicians of his crew from design team, the photographic team to the actors, that he forms this partnerships, and he's a tremendous man of trust, which is incredibly shocking and terrifying, but it's very empowering...

And if you pitch something that he doesn't like he's completely totally honest with you, and if you pitch something that he loves he goes like this [thumb up]. I would work for hours on it just to get his thumbs up, it meant a lot to me, and, as I said before, it was an incredible experience that I would love to do again...
