Michael Fassbender was very pleased when VG were allowed to visit the filming of Jo Nesbo's crime drama.

- Thanks, I'm perfectly well. This is a great job for me!

It was one nice and very brief "conversation" VG managed to get into with a hyper concentrated Michael Fassbender during a visit to the filming of “The Snowman” Thursday night.

Culture Minister Linda Hofstad Helleland were also in place on the set when VG came to visit.

- It's terribly funny! As the new Minister of Culture I understand how much is in there is much to learn about. If things go as I want, 'The Snowman' will be just a start for Norway as filming land for major international film productions, says Helleland.

A film set for "The Snowman" is a basically densely populated and purposeful chaos, where 120 people work with each their detailed tasks concerning, partly actors to deliver maybe two-three minutes of footage and become contributions to this movie. Absolutely everything is concentrated on the few seconds between 'Quiet! Attention!" And "Cut! ".

Director Tomas Alfredson is sitting aside for some time. Asking why:

- How it's been filming in Oslo so far?

- Absolutely excellent, thanks! Oslo is a city where it’s easy to create captures. I’m very grateful, indeed; it’s like a dream. Not least part of Oslo has been incredibly generous. And we were so incredibly lucky with proper winter weather during the first days, says Alfredson.

They got Jakob Oftebro ready for 'The Snowman'!

- I'm very glad to hear, says Hofstad Helleland to Alfredson.

-As you probably know, we just love to have many more film productions to come here and I hope that 'The Snowman' is the start of a new Norwegian film adventure.

- Yes, and it was the crucial for Norway were selected. It is anyway not to need fight to be here, says Alfredson.

- I know. But this is of great importance that you have come and that you will find the way and you can get organized what is necessary, says Hofstad Helleland. And expands to VG:

- Such shooting as this can have a tremendous ripple effect. One thing is what each filming leave of values in the form of goods and services and work for Norwegian filmmakers. In addition, a huge marketing effect that can hardly be measured in money. This simply puts Norway on the world map with a large bearing on the tourism industry.

- You've now seen a bit of Harry Hole’s universe. It was almost like you had imagined it?

- He, he, this is the thing I simply do not talk about! Anyone who has read Jo Nesbo has their own pictures inside their heads. The main thing with this movie is that it gets even create their images and that we as politicians put the best possible way for a business of great importance both cultural policy and industrial policy.
