Thousands of people have a picture of Harry Hole in their heads.

Here is a picture of what he looks like Hole - as the filmmakers of "The Snowman" wants to show him.

The British production company is in Oslo this week to start filmming The Nesbos bestseller with Michael Fassbender in the lead role.

In the evening it was cameras, lights and audio equipment all around.

After eating dinner inside on the tram marked "18 Oslo Hospital", the crew began to work on a scene. There were a number of the extras also, and Fassbender was standing there and talking to a young boy.

Publicist Sasha Gibson confirms that this is Hole's son Oleg, played by Michael Yates (15) from London.

- How much the production is extensive?

- We're going to keep it going to the end of March, and will use as many as 1700 of extras during the filming, says Gibson.

It's already clear that some shootings are to be made in City Hall, but Dagbladet can say that it's still uncertain whether "Snowman" movie concludes at Holmenkollen, so crime book does, or not.

Also more scenes will be filmed in the Harry Hole's haunt, Schroder at St. Hanshaugen in Oslo, said owner Khalid Abdul.

- It's amazing that they make the film here in Norway, said he to Dagbladet.
