Q: From sex addict in "Shame" to adroid in "Prometheus", don't you feel a little bit of a dizziness?

A: I worked with Steve McQueen in New York and this film allowed me to return home to England, where I live. It was a radical change, from drama to science fiction, but also a wonderful one. The big difference was that we got on set, with 300 people and a director (Ridley Scott) that monitors every detail of the costumes and sets, while controlling the position of the cameras (several to be 3D) and directs actors. Actually, I learned a lot from Ridley about this business.

Q: The script of Prometheus has been one of the best kept secrets in the industry over the last years...

A: He sent it with a bodyguard, who arrived with orders to wait for me to read and then to take it back, and I'm really slow reader, I guess... He had to be waiting several hours. That was three years ago, just after Ridley has seen Hunger. We had a cup of tea together, and it all started.

Q: And he found one of those scripts that are 'trapping' the actor ...

A: I remember being on page 30 and thought, 'When will it break down?'. But it never did, and there was a strain background that was very sinister. The writer Damon Lidelof (Lost) has developed the crew of a spaceship with a common goal, a group of humans trying to find a 'creator' and challenge him. And besides everyone has their interests.

Q: It's not the first android to see in the Alien series. What has inherited from its predecessors?

A: He's not as as advanced as Ian Holm's (Ash) android in the first film. I confess I didn't resivit this one, but I have that memory. Something that I found very interesting from the beginning, the fact that there is a robot that does not scare humans, who have always the right answer to not disturb them.

Q: David always very concerned about his 'look', for example that hairstyle copy to Peter O'Toole in Lawrence of Arabia ...

A: Don't know why when I thought about David, he came into my head first and then Kevin Spacey and Greg Louganis. In the end, the character has a lot of David Bowie, but also of Pinocchio, in terms of his the relationship with his creator.

Q: This is one of tough movies.

A: I'm used to work under pressure and I like it. For that I have a trick. It's very simple, is to study every night and show up on set with the homework done. We all knew that Alien has many has, and tried to be loyal to the series, but still took some risks.
