Ubisoft's head of content on the Assassin's Creed video games, Azaizia Aymar, posted a couple of pics that he personally took on the film's set.

The pictures are close-ups of a pair of broadswords that appear to be mounted behind glass. More specifically, the photos focus on the swords' pommels. One of them shows the cross symbol emblem of the Knights Templar; the other has a carving of a bearded man's head.

Aymar himself quickly confirmed that the man's identity is Hugues De Payens, the real-life founder and first Grand Master of the Knights Templar. The historical De Payens, a Frenchman, lived in the ninth and tenth centuries.
